Tootsie Roll Drive

Council #12951 is asking for your time and/or financial support for the 2023 Tootsie Roll Drive. This year's drive will be on September 15 and 16th. Knights and their families will be collecting and handing-out tootsie rolls in front of Wal-Mart, Al's Supermarket on Franklin Street and East Side Produce & Meats. We will also be collecting after all masses on September 10, 2023 at St. Mary's, September 17, 2023 at Queen of All Saints, and September 21, 2023 at St. Stan's. As we hand out a "tootsie roll" and  thank people for their donation, we should remember how fortunate we are, for God's grace, for our blessings in life, and the ability to donate for a good cause of supporting our disabled neighbors in need!  If you can hand out Tootsie Rolls, please sign up here: https://signup.com/go/gEetrJG

Knights of Columbus Council No. 12951 of Michigan City, IN is also asking for your generous monetary help for another annual Tootsie Roll Drive to aid the handicapped children and adults of the LaPorte Co. community. This year, we are expanding our mail solicitations.

In 2022, Council No. 12951 collected $14,200.00 and donated these funds to organizations directly working and enriching the lives of handicapped people. We donated $13,350.00 ($4450.00 to each) to local organizations listed below) for the mentally and physically handicapped. Only the cost of the Tootsie Rolls and the direct mail campaign was taken from the proceeds we collected. This reflects a 94% return.

If you cannot donate your time, the Council is asking for your assistance with a monetary mail-in donation. (You may also donate online using the button below.) Please give from the heart and treasure in the effort for the cause. As we help those in need, we in turn help our communities, by securing the monetary needs the handicapped of our community require to prosper. Let's all pitch in for a successful campaign!
