Grade 6

I have been teaching for 30 years, with the last 15 years at Queen of All Saints. I started my teaching career at St. Mary’s in Michigan City and came to Queen of All Saints when St. Mary’s closed its doors. Starting at Queen of All Saints was like a homecoming of sorts. I had attended grade school here and have had the opportunity to work with some of my former teachers and several of my former students. I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Elementary Education from Purdue. I am married with two children. My son served in the Navy and was able to travel the world on an 11 month deployment before being stationed in Virginia. He now lives back in the area with his wife and daughter. My granddaughter is in Kindergarten at QAS. My daughter recently graduated from IU School of Dentistry. She lives in the Indianapolis area with her husband and my new granddaughter. I love spending time with my family and friends. One of my biggest accomplishments was the completion of the RAIN (Ride Across Indiana) ride in 2009. My husband and I rode our tandem on this 160 mile one-day bike ride across Indiana in just over 13 hours!
