Eucharistic Holy Hour For Religious Vocations
Bishop Donald Hying will lead us in prayer and present: The importance of the family in supporting vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
Why spiritual direction when praying the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises?
A spiritual director walks with the retreatant as they journey through the Spiritual Exercises. A spiritual director listens contemplatively to God's movement as the retreatant shares their awareness of God in their prayer and life experience. They guide and encourage a person to listen to the promptings and urgings of the Holy Spirit, and relate their thoughts, feelings, and desires to God.
The director's role is that of being a helper during the retreat. The director explains different ways of praying and suggests the matter to be considered in a prayer period and does not hinder God's movements or impose interpretations of Scripture or theology. The Exercises above all are a time to deepen an intimate relationship between God and the retreatant. God is the ultimate Spiritual Director! Spiritual direction will be available for each retreatant. See more on spiritual direction - click here.
