CSA 2008
This week, you will receive a letter concerning the Catholic
Services Appeal for 2008 from the Bishop and the Diocesan CSA Office. The Diocese did not raise our assessment this
year. Last year, your generosity enabled
us to surpass our parish assessment substantially. The surplus did not completely pay for many
of the needed repairs and improvements, but did provide some financial
assistance towards the remaining balance on our furnace and air conditioning
units that had to be replaced in early 2007 and the summer of 2007. It is our hope to get to the roof sealing
over the gym and school which has been needed for a few years now. For the future, we need to think about
carpeting for the church as well as other adjustments to our worship space. We are still trying to pay down our loan for
the Queen of Angels Annex classrooms. With
our shortfall this year it has been difficult discerning new and creative needs. Over and above what we receive back (100%)
when we surpass our Diocesan Goal of $50,233,

Please fill out the information on the envelope. The envelopes may be deposited in the
regular Sunday collection April 6th through May 6th or

Let’s be generous and thus show our thanks to God for his goodness,
particularly after all the gifts he gives to us and how important God and
family are to us.
Our hope for
the very near future is to be a total stewardship parish which means we give
back to God out of our desire to give in time, talent and treasure and not
because of some sort of need we must meet.
God is faithful to us so let us be faithful to God and our faith
community. Thank you in advance for your
faithful stewardship.
