Music Ministry Mission Statement

Our vision as a music ministry is to promote an atmosphere of inspiring worship and to create an environment of prayerful participation and meditation.

The Music Ministry at Queen of All Saints offers a wide variety of musical experiences for parishioners of all ages. We are constantly welcoming new members to our ensembles. Our ministry is two-fold: to lead the assembly in worship and to enhance the liturgy through the singing of choral music.

Saturday Adult Choir

The Saturday Adult Choir alternates with the Student Praise Choir in singing at the 4:30 P.M. Mass on Saturdays. Practice is held at 4:00 P.M. prior to the Mass. Frequently we have a combination of members from both choirs. New members and musicians who can play instruments are welcome to join us. Contact the Music Director Kathy Moskovich, 219-872-4420 Ext.114 for more information.

Student Praise Choir

The Student Praise Choir invites any student in the parish to join. This choir alternates with the Saturday Adult Choir in leading the singing at the 4:30 P.M. Mass. Students also sing at the school Masses, school programs, and other liturgies throughout the year. Practice is held on Wednesday, 3:00-3:45 P.M. and at 4:00 P.M. on Saturdays during the school year. Many of our members join the adults on the alternating weeks. We would love to have some volunteers join us in playing some instruments. Contact Kathy Moskovich, 219-872-4420 Ext. 114 for more information.

Contemporary Choir

The Contemporary Choir sings for the 7:30 am Mass every Sunday and on Holy Days and Holidays throughout the year. The group is composed of 10-15 members of all ages. This choir sings a variety of musical styles, from  traditional hymns to gospel and contemporary music, which may be used as prelude or meditation music each Sunday. The choir uses 2-part, SAB and SABT arrangements and some Spanish/bilingual music as well.  The ability to read music is not necessary to join this group. Non-mandatory flexible rehearsals are offered at 6:30PM Wednesdays depending on participants schedules. Vocalists and instrumentalists interested in joining this choir should contact the Contemporary Choir Director Stephanie Sobecki at 219-851-2138 or                          This email address is being protected from spambots. Adult Choir

The Adult Choir (geared for High School students and beyond) sings for Sunday 10:30 A.M. Mass each week and also at other special Holy Days and liturgies throughout the year. This is a larger group with 20 - 25 active members. Most of the music we sing is in SATB format from the Liturgical Mass parts, to traditional and more contemporary worship songs. Reading music is helpful, but not necessary. If you play an instrument, we would love to have you join us. Rehearsals are every Thursday, September through May, from 6:30 – 8:00 A.M. in the music room of the church. The Gift of Music is a Treasure to be Shared!

Whether you are interested in singing or are an instrumentalist of any kind, you can be sure that you will be joining people with whom you will share many wonderful moments of making music and lively fellowship. We invite you to “Make a joyful noise” and prayerfully consider offering your talents to this ministry. Formation retreats are also offered once a year.
