Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

RCIAThe Rite of Christian Initiation is a faith conversion process through which both not baptized adults and those baptized in other faiths become Catholic.

At Queen of All Saints Parish, the initiation process is gradual and takes place within the context of the faith community. It is suited to a spiritual journey of adults that varies according to the many forms of God’s grace, the free cooperation of the individuals, the action of the Church, and the circumstances of time and place.

This journey includes periods for making inquiry about the faith, maturing in the faith and preparation for receiving the Sacraments of Christian initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist. By God’s grace, those entering the process are strengthened spiritually during their preparation and at the proper time receive the sacraments fruitfully.

Because we at Queen of All Saints believe that conversion is not dictated by a calendar, we support a year round process that allows individuals who are ready to begin to step into the process at any time during the year and remain in the process for as long as their spiritual formation requires.
